FAQs
The dream of visiting the Maldives comes with several questions.
Don't worry, we are here to answer them all.
What do you need to know?
While it's true that the Maldives are a year-round destination, it's also important to know that, generally, the months from January to April have the lowest probability of rainy days.
Portuguese citizens do not need a visa to enter the Maldives.
However, you should bear in mind that your passport must be valid for at least six months after the end of your stay.
In addition, all travelers must complete a traveler declaration form, the IMUGA, within 96 hours prior to their arrival in the country.

At Faru Travel, we know that the Maldives are a dream trip for many travelers. That's why we've chosen to dedicate ourselves 100% to this paradise in the Indian Ocean.
We prefer knowing that we can answer all your questions and have close relationships with resorts in the Maldives, rather than offering 50 destinations and paying little attention to detail in any of them. Therefore, you can count on our expert support and our promise that we won't rest until we find your dream vacation.
Well, for two main reasons:
1) The fact that we specialize 100% in the Maldives allows us to guarantee that we have complete knowledge of the more than 150 resorts in the Maldives and promise that we won't rest until we find the one that best suits your vacation.
2) The Maldives are an expensive destination. There's no way around it.
However, our focus on this destination allows us to have a very close look at every promotion, every price reduction, and the best booking conditions. With us, you can find the opportunity of a lifetime to visit the Maldives.
Faru Travel aims to be a straightforward travel agency. We believe your dream vacation can't be contained in a catalog, and that's a guiding principle in how we work.
Thus, we have two main approaches:
1) Faru Travel Flex - Designed for those who dream of visiting the Maldives at the best prices!
Objectively, the biggest expense of your trip to the Maldives will be your resort.
At Faru Travel Flex , our mission is to ensure we find your dream resort at the best possible price!
We'll also recommend the best flights for your trip, but booking them (as well as obtaining travel insurance) is up to you!
2) Faru Travel Go! - The ideal solution for those looking for a "turnkey" product, without having to worry about flight bookings or bureaucracy.
In this approach, we will put together a complete travel package for you, 100% tailored to your needs, without any worries. All you have to do is pack your bags.
We understand your concern. After all, there are almost 200 resorts in the Maldives, and choosing the best one for you can seem like a difficult task.
The main criteria you should take into account are:
1) Your budget;
2) Do you prefer a large, lively island? Or something more secluded?
3) Do you want a seaplane transfer, domestic flight, or speedboat?
4) Are you planning to stay in a bungalow on the beach? Or do you dream of an overwater villa?
5) Is snorkeling a crucial criterion? Or are you looking for the most beautiful lagoons in the country?
Once you have the answers to these questions, get in touch with us and we'll help!
The process begins with submitting the form on our "Reservations" page.
So, let's start searching for the best hotel for your trip and we'll accompany you throughout the entire process, from choosing the resort to every step until your return!
Generally, Faru Travel requires a 15% payment at the time of booking, with the remaining 85% paid up to 45 days before the start of the trip.
However, there are exceptions to this rule, such as trips booked with little advance notice or reservations made for festive periods (such as Christmas and New Year's Eve).
